There was an impromptu chat that took place in the aftermath of Real Madrid‘s Champions League quarter-final first-leg tie against Liverpool on Tuesday night, with Florentino Perez and Vinicius Junior catching up with Fabinho in the tunnel.
Florentino had come down to see the Real Madrid players after the 3-1 victory, while Vinicius had just finished his TV commitments after being named man of the match. Upon seeing Fabinho, the Real Madrid president discussed the Brazilian’s days playing for Castilla in the 2012/13 campaign.
“With us you played as a right-back,” Florentino recalled to Fabinho.
“Yes, but to play right-back now… What a player you have in Vinicius,” the Liverpool player responded.
Vinicius scored two goals in the victory and his impressive performance was recognised by Fabinho.
